Cluster

MBS Residence developed a successful Cluster model to provide services to individuals living in their own space but close to each other in the same building or complex..

This arrangement encourages friendships amongst the participants and a sense of community. Participants who need assistance with grocery shopping or bulk meal preparation, or getting to medical appointments, are supported by shared full time staff on-site.

The Cluster model with on-site full time staff also serves as a safety net for the cluster participants.

MBS Residence operates three cluster groups in the city to support 28 participants.

At one of our groups where MBS Residence supports 16 residents, each in their own apartment, a Cluster Support Staff is on site 12 hours per day, available to assist each participant as required.

For overnight emergencies, a Professional Neighbour who lives on site is quickly available.
